Protection of nature and culture

The requirements of the Environmental Code concerning the Royal National City Park provide it with an overall protection, which can then be supplemented by the application of various detailed regulations. There are several instruments for protecting and caring for areas of high natural and/or cultural value. Important recreational areas can also be safeguarded, as can settlements of cultural historical value.
