Plants

The flora in the Royal National City Park is very rich in numbers of species and well over 800 different species have been identified. The abundance of noble broadleaf trees such as oak and linden is characteristic of the park and a result of royal influence in caring for the area. Over the past 150 years the flora has undergone great change and many new species have appeared while others have disappeared.
