The Royal National City Park contains a unique combination of wild nature, parklands and special buildings, located in the centre of a capital city. Over the centuries, Stockholm’s inhabitants have sought out this area for recreation and relaxation. The natural resources of the park are strongly influenced by how people – not least the different monarchs – have used and formed its landscape.
From a European perspective, the park harbours an extremely rich variety of species. In the following pages you can read more about its fauna, flora and natural features.
